Didn't take many shots of my own food since I only ate a bread roll lol. The 'pressed chicken' wasn't very appetizing. And despite 'wannabe Ramsay' telling us off lol, I found myself more drawn to documenting how things happen behind the scenes. The interaction between the workers and the desire of authority interested me. Nathan you have balls for working in a kitchen! This is the first time I have seen a kitchen in action - what a chaotic place to work!
Technical Details
Close ups:
Shot with a large window light (back-lit) with use of reflectors at the front. Blue cast coming from window and yellow coming from tungsten lights indoor, so I had to adjust the white balance and then selectively adjust the blue cast from daylight on the white table cloth in shots like the ones of the butter.
Kitchen:
Many blown out areas due to strong lights in the centre of the kitchen. I desaturated a lot of the shots because of the strong yellow cast. ISO ranged from about 500-100, and pretty wide apertures (5.6). Strong contrasts due to white and black uniforms.

"I said two!"

"Just go!"

"What!"

Well done Christina, there are some really strong shots in the kitchen and even the table shots are working. You really do observe things well, you appear to see what others miss and that's going to help you stand out.
